Red Lake County Opioid Settlement Funds

In July 2021, the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office joined the historic $26 billion multi-state settlement agreements with pharmaceutical distributors McKesson, Cardinal Health, and AmerisourceBergen, and opioid manufacturer Johnson & Johnson. These settlements will bring more than $300 million into Minnesota over the next 18 years to fight the opioid crisis.

Red Lake County County's expected portion of the settlement is $199,493.00 (spread over 18 years) Opioid Settlement Payment Amounts

Red Lake County is committed to reducing the negative impacts associated with opioid use by convening key sectors on a taskforce. The Opioid Settlement taskforce will guide the spending of National Opioid Settlement dollars to save lives and prevent further damage.
